Sometimes it helps. But acting talent or skill is the key to getting more acting jobs. If a hot guy can’t act, he’s not going to work much. – Heather

Because of your course, I’ve built up enough courage to do this. I’m taking Theater Arts at my high school and I’m going to sign up to be in a play at my local theater.
It was hard at first because some of my friends poked fun at me because I want to be an actor, because I’ve wanted to be in the military over the past few years. I’ll show them one day. I’ll become famous one day and they’ll all feel like idiots.
I’ve wanted to become an actor since I was 5. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME!

  9. krissymcshafer says:

I’m only 10. I have been in several local theatre, plays or whatever you want to call it. What do most directors look for in a child actor. I’m a smidge shy so whenever I try out for plays I get a little shy and nervous. What can I do to help me overcome my problem? Also, do you need an agent, or is there a website where I can look over jobs.

  10. TheTruthAboutActing says:

You are going to have to calmly explain to them why you want to do this. If they still will not let you then you are going to have to trust their judgment, obey their wishes, and be patient. Remember to ask them again when you are a little older. Once they see you haven’t given up they may reconsider. Good luck.

  11. Emechannel says:

what if your parents will not let you go to auditions and wont tell you why and you reeaallyy want to go what should you say or do to let them take you

  12. DarthTorimo says:

I Love Heather’s voice, so beautiful. I’ve been trying to get into acting since I was about 19, and yes, the training is pretty much what is needed, along with the money ofcourse for the classes/headshots, etc. I fell off my course of breaking it into the Biz, thanks to financial set back and wasnt able to get into the schools I wanted or headshots that I needed. Im 22 now and thinking about getting back again, possibly. But, just wanted to say that Heather’s voice is SEXY lol and cool courses!

  13. TheTruthAboutActing says:

Try acting around friends or family who will give you some friendly feedback. If they think you have some talent then try acting in a play or local theatre. If the audience and/or the other actors think you’re any good, they will want to work/see with you again. Remember take small and yet steady steps in the direction of your dreams.

  14. TheTruthAboutActing says:

    You’re welcome!

  15. SurayyahT says:

do you know any acting auditions?

  16. millersname says:

How do you know if you are any good ?

  17. TheTruthAboutActing says:

You can definitely put only two things on your resume, and as you get more jobs, make sure you keep updating to add more things. It’s not easy at first, but if you love acting you will be able to stick with it as you look for more acting work. – Heather

  18. TheTruthAboutActing says:
