In your Windows volume control screen, there is an option to select the recording sources.
In the volume control go to the ‘Options’ menu and down to ‘Properties’. Change the tick box from Playback to Recording and click OK.
Un-check all of the ’select’ boxes apart from the one under ‘Mic’.
