Well, I disagree. There are a lot of great actors, including eponymous, who have/had real bad work-life balance, e.g. Ledger, Brando, yet it was this turbulence that brought that magic out of their acting. I’m not saying everybody should live like that, and this video’s advice can be quite useful to many people, not neceserily actors, but it seems we live in an age of over-prescription and this is an example…

You are very very very wrong. Things he is talking about are essential for almost if not all actor. You are foolish for believing otherwise

  3. fishSG1 says:

Which is what real acting coaching is. Without these things you can’t be a great actor.

  4. b00i00d says:

This is not about acting, really, its about work-life balance, life coaching…

    This guy is awesome.
And he reminds me of a black Christopher Walken.

It sounds to me that he was speaking out to everybody and actors as well.
    Thanks for upload!

  7. Dynaverse says:

No this video is showing psychological principles about healthy living, it has nothing to do with acting.

    hawkhandsaw,

I completely agree. Is there any avenues for an actor to learn this? A lot of actors are the artistic type and don’t do to well in the traditional learning aspects such as college.

Do you know of any alternative educational avenues that an actor could acquire a familiarization of basic business and marketing? Actors obviously don’t need a degree to learn it… they just need to learn it.

  13. hawkhandsaw says:

Very good advice. I would add that every actor should aquaint themselves with the basics of business and marketing which are just as important as all the artistic, spiritual aspects of acting-if not more so. These are the areas most actors neglect and then wonder why they can’t find work.
